Konjiki no Wordmaster Chapter 316

Chapter for this week. Next one may be delayed due to RL things, but should be sometime next week. Finishing Daydreamer part 4 and 5 will take precedence though.
Also, Is it just me getting slightly annoyed at how the author has to chew down every little sentence for the characters to finally understand the all-too-obvious meaning behind it?

In any case, enjoy.

Konjiki no Wordmaster Chapter 315

The final chapter of this week. From now on, it will be 1-2 chapters a week.
I’m considering to localise Crouch’s nyaa-speech to English, but for now I just left it be. Let me know what you think.
now for some changes:

I changed BiJohnny to Bea-Johnny. Since the Japanese 美(bi) part of his name stands for “Beautiful”, it feels weird to me to romanise it as BiJohnny and be obviously misinterpreted.
I also changed menols (or however it was TL’d before) to menels, since it’s an obvious pun on meters in Japanese (menoru and meetoru)

Konjiki no Wordmaster Chapter 314

Since I released another part for Daydreamer the next day, might as well do it for this too.
I will probably translate one or two chapters of Konjiki a week aside from what people sponsor. Probably be 1-2 parts a month for Daydreamer, starting from next month. This time, I’ll finish the chapter I started. Will see if I can speed it up later.

Now, for some changes…
I changed “Xaos” to “Chaos” as Xaos can be misread by English speakers, when it’s supposed to be the Greek word χάος (read as Khaos). Since Chaos is less likely to be misread and it’s simply the English version of the word, I decided to go with it instead. Let me know if you wish for me to change it back.

Now, as you know, Nikki sometimes speaks with a “~desu zo” sentence endings, but that doesn’t really mean much in Japanese, just a little weird/forceful sentence ending form. As such, I won’t make her speak overly weird way in English either, just a tad.

Well then, enjoy.

Konjiki no Wordmaster Chapter 313

I decided to pick up Konjiki after seeing that it had been dropped (yet again). Hopefully the curse will not affect me too. *prays*

*Cough* now regarding the TL… since most of the Konjiki translation is pure MTL gibberish, I’ve never really tried reading it beyond light skimming, and despairing over it so the terms I use might differ from the previous translators. If you have better versions to offer for names, terms, etc, I will consider them.

One more thing, I won’t be doing the weaboo translations on this like many of my Senpais did with this and will try my best to make the characters speak a bit more normal English instead of them sounding like retards. (ie: I won’t be using desu, nano, shishou and such clearly weeb words and will localise it as much as possible.)

with that said, hope you enjoy my translations.
